The South Metro Atlanta Music Teachers Association, chartered in 1974, now reaches close to one thousand students and their families in Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, South Fulton, and Spalding Counties. Members of SMAMTA include independent studio teachers, faculty of music schools, universities and public schools. Members are committed to the highest standards of music education and share a mutual interest in growing as educators.
Betty H. White Named a 2013 MTNA
SMAMTA member Betty H. White, NCTM, was
named a Foundation Fellow during the 2013 MTNA Conference in Anaheim, California. The presentation was made at the MTNA Gala on Monday evening, March 11, 2013, at which time Fellows from other states also received this prestigious award for distinguished service to the music teaching
